PRESS RELEASE

Members of the general public are hereby notified that Sibu Municipal Council will open its SBBS Payment Counters located at Level 21, Wisma Sanyan, Sibu to the general public from 8.00am to 3.30pm with effect from 4th May 2009 to 29th May 2009 (except for Saturday, Sunday and Public Holiday). However, as the last date of payment for 1st Half 2009 assessment rates falls on 31st May 2009, the Council will open its SBBS Payment Counters also on 30th & 31st May 2009 (Saturday & Sunday) for the convenience of the ratepayers.

Duplicate copy of the Assessment Bill can be obtained free of charge at Level 21 (One Stop Centre), Wisma Sanyan, Sibu during the above opening hours if the original copy of the assessment bill is lost or mislaid.

Sibu Municipal Council wishes to remind all those rate-payers, who have not settled their assessment rates for the 1st Half of 2009, to settle their assessment rates on or before 31st May 2009, failing which a surcharge of 1% per month or part thereof will be imposed upon them without any exception whatsoever.

TARIKH AKHIR PEMBAYARAN CUKAI PINTU BAGI TEMPOH SETENGAH (½) TAHUN PERTAMA, 2009

Semua tuanpunya pegangan yang dikenakan cukai pintu di bawah bidangkuasa Majlis Perbandaran Sibu, anda diingatkan supaya membayar cukai pintu bagi Tempoh Setengah (½) Tahun Pertama 2009 (Januari - Jun 2009) sebelum atau pada Hari Ahad, 31 Mei 2009. Jika gagal berbuat demikian, denda/sercaj pada kadar 1% sebulan atau sebahagian daripadanya, akan dikenakan, seperti yang termaktub di dalam Bahagian VII - Seksyen 74(1), Local Authorities Ordinance, 1996.

Salinan bil cukai pintu boleh diperolehi secara percuma di Majlis Perbandaran Sibu, Aras 21, Wisma Sanyan, Jalan Sanyan, Sibu. Sebarang aduan tentang ketiadaan menerima bil cukai pintu tidak akan dilayan.

NOTICE

LAST DATE OF PAYMENT FOR ASSESSMENT RATES OF 1ST HALF 2009

The owners of rateable holdings situated within the jurisdiction of Sibu Municipal Council are hereby reminded that the current rates of 1st Half 2009 (January - June 2009) should be settled on or before Sunday, 31 May 2009, failing which a fee or surcharge of 1% per month or part thereof shall be imposed upon them without any exception whatsoever. This is the ruling made by the Council in accordance with the statutory provision of Part VII - Section 74(1), Local Authorities Ordinance, 1996.

Duplicate copy of Assessment Bill can be obtained free of charge from Sibu Municipal Council, Level 21, Wisma Sanyan, Jalan Sanyan, Sibu if in the event that the original copy thereof is lost or mislaid. The Council shall not entertain any claim that the bill has never been received.
